Back to top: Strata for Unit J5
Introduction
The strata sequence currently used by this edition of the UGR for J5 is J5A It is based on the J5 data, but has been coordinated with the adjacent excavation unit J1. It reflects an arbitrary early list of strata that ranged from surface accumulations (Stratum 1) to the earliest deposits (Stratum 100). This unique sequence for J5 will eventually be incorporated into a larger site-wide sequence whose strata range from 1 to 1000. We have used this earlier sequence so that the left and right sides of the J5 UGR remain integrated.
